Not sure where to put this question!
What is the 'LIGHT' that God created on the first day, Genesis 1 v 3?
The sun, moon and stars where not created until the 4th day and are to be used for signs?, seasons, days and years.

Perhaps the light of truth? Or perhaps they are referring to the zero point energy field.

First there was Darkness and then the Light was created and then the two were separated to be the Day and night. The Firmanent was/is illuminated with the Sun, moon and the stars to be used as signs(portents), hours, days, seasons and years, are we missing something here?

Chessnut1, you may want to see what the late Dr. Henry Morris of Institute for Creation Research (ICR) says about the light and darkness on this site. www.icr.org/article/dividing-light-from-darkness/ I might add that Dr. Morris and others on this site believe in a round earth. Hope this will help. khcva63

FE Res, you've probably asked the MOST difficult question known to humankind. "What is Light?'. Even the astonishly brilliant Nikola Tesla could not answer this question to his own satisfaction. However, his writings reveal he thought that light and what we term 'electricity' are two manifestations of the same phenomena.
Remember also, that the universe prior to the Creation was akin to 'water'. "He(God the Creator)separated the waters from the waters". Also, "...and God said, "Let there be light, and there was Light". I suspect the application of "The Word" created Light by an action similar to sonoluminescence, but on an unimaginably large scale to us. There are some rather good YT videos on 'sonoluminescence' and I recommend you pursue this course of understanding.
