The Bible is Clearly Geocentric: see 67 verses that speak as such below. It states that the sun rises in the east and goes down in the west.
Every FE model I have seen show the sun and moon orbiting over the flat earth, it seems to be the consensuses. It is noted that the sun light begins to show around 4200 miles. Now if the sun is circling overhead one should be able to put a telescope on the sun and see it at all times, however that is not possible because it drops below the horizon.
Base on this and without a viable explanation FE is unbiblical and biblically impossible to fit a flat earth hypothesis.
Maybe this explanation isn't possible and someone has another hypothesis, will wait for someone's other theory or hypothesis.
Also the four Cardinal Directions need clarification. PS I have seen all the stuff out there and have not found anything the can be said to be conclusive.

Nothing is true. Everything is possible. No one has all the answer. Sad, but I guess if you want to make your FE case you are jumping the shark. Just stand on the common ground of a geocentric prospective so a rational case can be reason. Also the unbiblical application give one pause to take the site too seriously; so many loose strings that it self fulfills 2 Timothy 3:7 : clearly the truth has a beginning and when you jump in the middle of something all you end up doing is look foolish and mess things up. With that said the site can have some value in helping understand how people go off in tangent so awkwardly: because the goal first should be to put a lamp to one's feet so at least they can see the next step they might want to take. |

Hi, as I see it, it is not that the sun goes below the horizon, it is because it has gone further away then we can see it (perspective). IF we lived on a ball earth, then the sunrise/sunset would fill the whole horizon as we look at it and not be concentrated to a small area of the horizon as it rises? and sets?

I have diligently continued to look into the rising and setting of the sun and cannot find any real explanation to line up biblically with the flat earth precept. I have found other items especially the math on earth curvature very compelling and lends me to accept some variation of flat earth. I have been geocentric for a very long time and have already rejected a heliocentric view and have preached that unashamed. So right now I am in a dilemma on how the rising and setting can fit literally to what is observed and what the bible says. I have seen diagrams on how some people perceive the sun and moon rotating around the various longitudes of the flat earth but find that lacking in that the sun still sink below the western horizon and rises above the eastern horizon. So right now I am looking at a convex earth that could appear flat within some confines of certain parameters. If anyone have any links to a convex earth in a flat earth scenario please post a reply with help.

This is a good video on the rising and setting of sun on a flat earth. I am wonder if you are standing on the beach and the sun set below the ocean, if you took a telescope out and looked were it set would it visually appear?
